Henry Staying with Kansas

After an eventful day in which Lance Stephenson committed to Cincinnati and Kansas signee Xavier Henry's father, Carl, said his son could change his mind and go to Kentucky, the dust seems to have settled on the Class of 2009 -- for now.

"I’m going to Kansas," Henry said in a text message to multiple media outlets late Tuesday night. "That's final."

Reports said that head coach Bill Self and assistant Danny Manning flew to Oklahoma City on Tuesday to meet with the Henry family. Xavier and his brother, fellow Kansas signee C.J., are working out in Oklahoma City this summer, instead of Lawrence with the rest of the Jayhawk newcomers.

If Henry had indeed changed his mind and joined John Calipari at Kentucky, the Wildcats would have five five-star freshmen and arguably the No. 1 team in the country. As it stands, Kansas will likely be No. 1 in the preseason rankings, with the Wildcats following at No. 2.
