Shawn James Signs with Agent

As first reported by, Duquesne junior center Shawn James has hired an agent, ending any chance he had of returning to the Dukes for his senior season. "I want to enter the draft knowing I'm going to give it my all. That this is what I'm going to do, turn professional and play on the next level," James said. "I'm excited and can't wait to compete." James, one of the best shot-blockers in college basketball, averaged 12.6 points, 6.9 rebounds and 4.0 blocks per game last season.

  1. Wait, he's going to add on 20 pounds? All is good if he wants to add versatility and strength for post defense, but I hope this doesn't take away his quickness or leaping skills to block shots. As long he has his timing, plays good defense, and makes a contribution on offense, there can be a place for him in the NBA. Ask Joel Anthony and Earl Barron.
