Group Rankings: Wing Duos

An inside-outside combo and a solid trio are necessary to win a national championship, but having wings that can score are important as well. Two perimeter players that can create their own shots and take pressure off the point guard and the post players make a team that much more dangerous. Here are the top wing duos in the country heading into the season:

2. Duke: Elliot Williams, Gerald Henderson
3. Tennessee: Scotty Hopson, Tyler Smith
4. North Carolina: Wayne Ellington, Danny Green
5. Connecticut: A.J. Price, Jerome Dyson

7. Gonzaga: Matt Bouldin, Austin Daye
8. Marquette: Jerel McNeal, Wesley Matthews

  1. Liking the love for Syracuse. But since are top 15 in almost every category you've listed except SG and PF, I expect we are in the top 15 of your preseason rankings.

  2. If college basketball was a 4-on-4 half-court game, I'd certainly rank Syracuse in the top-15...but they need to improve their defense first. It was awful last season.
