- The NCAA sent a notice to Indiana last Friday that included allegations of major violations in its basketball program. New information has been uncovered since the Hoosiers self-reported violations in October. (ESPN)
- The notice includes a list of five major violations, and says that coach Kelvin Sampson repeatedly provided false or misleading information to the school and NCAA investigators. (Indianapolis Star)
- Missouri senior guard Stefhon Hannah was kicked off the team for a violation of team rules; he has not played since being involved in an altercation outside a nightclub last month that left him with a broken jaw. (Columbia Daily Tribune)
- Indiana senior guard A.J. Ratliff will not return to the team for the rest of the season because of personal reasons. (Indianapolis Star)
- Jason King ranks the top-25 freshmen in the country -- Derrick Rose is not in the top-five. (Yahoo! Sports)
- In the next seven days, Indiana faces Wisconsin, Michigan State and Purdue -- the top three teams in the Big Ten. It could make-or-break their season. (Indianapolis Star)
- Purdue continued its surprising tear through the Big Ten last night, knocking off Michigan State to improve to 11-1 in the conference. (West Lafayette Journal and Courier)
