Fortson has been suspended since the start of the season for unspecific disciplinary reasons. Arkansas head coach John Pelphrey said on Monday that Fortson would not play against the Longhorns, and it was unclear if he would return this season.
A season ago, Fortson averaged 14.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.9 assists per game.
Update: Arkansas has sent out a press release stating that Fortson will indeed return tonight against Texas.
"We are pleased that Courtney has done the things necessary for him to incorporate basketball fully back into his life," head coach Pelphrey said in the statement. "In the past few months, Courtney has worked hard to address personal issues and meet objectives to facilitate his return to active competition.
