'Nova's Grant to Miami
As reported by Adam Zagoria of The Herald News (N.J.), former Villanova freshman guard Malcolm Grant has chosen Miami (Fl.) as his next destination after announcing his departure from the Wildcats last week. "Miami was the first school to call me and they met with him and we thought that was the best fit for him," said Grant's high school coach, Todd Myles, of Paul Robeson High. "He's going to do what he has to do and work hard on the court and let this situation motivate him and have a great year after sitting out." He chose the Hurricanes over Vanderbilt, Michigan, Massachusetts, Butler and VCU. Grant averaged 5.6 points and 1.4 assists per game last season.
