America East Conference Tournament Preview

This conference was led from start to finish by Vermont, but they definitely were not unbeatable, as evidenced by a 3-3 record in their final six games. Northeastern only finished one game back, with Boston University one game behind them.
Favorites: Vermont has the best duo of all the mid-major teams in Taylor Coppenrath and T.J. Sorrentine. No one else averaged more than six points per game. Northeastern has the best non-Vermont player in the league in Jose Juan Barea, accompanied in the backcourt by Marcus Barnes. Boston University has the senior combination of Rashad Bell and Chaz Carr leading the way.
Sleepers: Binghamton is very deep, and plays some of the best defense in the conference. Albany has both a great offense and defense, and is home to one of the best backcourts in the league in Jamar Wilson and Lucious Jordan.
Prediction: Vermont has Coppenrath and Sorrentine. The rest of the conference does not. That is essentially why the Catamounts are going to win the conference tournament. However, Northeastern has won 13 of their past 15 games, and could give Vermont trouble in the title game.
