After suffering a broken leg last season, Madison Jones entered the AAU circuit slightly off the radar.
Jones now enters his junior season with multiple offers and plenty of high-majors in pursuit.
What happened?
The 6-foot-1 point guard from Ravenscroft (N.C.) and the CP3 All-Stars impressed onlookers throughout the summer with his athleticism and ability to push the ball in transition.
“[My recruiting has improved] a lot,” Jones said. “I’ve been working hard everyday, trying to improve my game in different ways and it’s showing.”
Right now, the lefty has offers from Richmond, Drake, Marshall, Charlotte and Georgia Southern, along with interest from Wake Forest, Clemson, Miami (Fl.), Georgetown, Florida State and Georgia Tech.
“It’s going real good, getting better and better,” Jones said.
He has taken unofficial visits to North Carolina State and Old Dominion, enjoying both of his trips.
At this point, Jones has three schools that are standing out on his radar: Wake Forest, Miami (Fl.) and Georgetown.
“I like the coaches, their style of play and they are good education schools,” he said.
Barring another fluke injury, expect Jones to continue expanding his recruitment.
